The diameter of B is 3 times the diameter of A.

So the linear scale factor is 3.

The area scale factor is, the linear scale factor squared.

So Area scale factor is: 3² = 9

To get the area of Circle B, just multiply the area of Circle A by the area scale factor:

Area of Circle B = 500 × 9

                        = 4500 metres squared
