The volume of cube is 729 cubic centimeter

Solution:

The surface area of cube is given as:

[tex]Surface\ area = 6a^2[/tex]

Where, "a" is the length of side of cube

Given that, surface area = 486 square centimeter

[tex]486 = 6a^2\\\\a^2 = \frac{486}{6}\\\\a^2 = 81\\\\a = 9[/tex]

Find the volume of cube:

[tex]volume\ of\ cube = a^3\\\\volume\ of\ cube = 9^3\\\\volume\ of\ cube = 9 \times 9 \times 9\\\\volume\ of\ cube = 729[/tex]

Thus volume of cube is 729 cubic centimeter
