Given:

A right angle triangle ABC, right angled at C.

To find:

The measure of θ.

Solution:

In a right angle triangle,

[tex]\tan \theta=\dfrac{Opposite}{Adjacent}[/tex]

In triangle ABC,

[tex]\tan \theta=\dfrac{AC}{BC}[/tex]

[tex]\tan \theta=\dfrac{2.7}{5}[/tex]

[tex]\tan \theta=0.54[/tex]

It can be written as

[tex]\theta=\tan^{-1}0.54[/tex]

[tex]\theta\approx 28.369[/tex]

Therefore, the measure of θ is 28.369.
