-8 (7k - 5) + 7(7k - 7) = 1 - 5k - k - 7

- 8(7k-5) + 7(7k-7) = 1 - 5k - k - 7
- 56k + 40 + 49k - 49 = 1 - 6k - 7
13k = 3
k = 3/13
