A long term effect of Magna Carta in England was a clear enunciation of the principle that even the King had to obey the law. In addition, the monarchy was forced to respect the rights of the common man.

an effect on the magna carta was the constitution the king signing the magna carta effected the people in a good way the king wasn't so strictly in charge of the rules anymore.
