The sphere

[tex]v=\frac{4}{3} \pi r^{3}=\frac{4}{3}*3.14 *2^{3}=\frac{4*3.14*8}{3}=\frac{100.48}{3}=33.493[/tex]

The cylinder

[tex]v=\pi r^{2} h=3.14*(\frac{4}{2} )^{2}*3=3.14*2^{2}*3=9.42*4=37.68[/tex]

Add those two volumes together:

[tex]33.493 + 37.68 = 71.173 in^{3}[/tex]
