The value of 3* (-1 * 5) is 13

Functions and values

We are to find value of 3* (-1 * 5) if p*q means 2p -q,

First we need to calculate the expression in parentheses (-1*5)

(-1 * 5) = 2(-1) - 5

(-1 * 5) = -2 - 5

(-1 * 5)  = -7

The expression wil then become;

3 * -7
