[tex]\frac{5}{3}\times(-\frac{3}{4})[/tex]

using the definition of multiplication between two fractions

[tex]\frac{a}{b}\times\frac{c}{d}=\frac{a\cdot c}{b\cdot d}[/tex]

we obtain,

[tex]\frac{5}{3}\times-\frac{3}{4}=-\frac{5\cdot3}{3\cdot4}=-\frac{5}{4}[/tex]
