Foxes consume on rabbits, so the more foxes, the more rabbits consumed hence less rabbits. But as a long term effect, if the rabbit population keeps decreasing, then the fox population will eventually start decreasing also as they'd have less food available.

foxes increase --> rabbits decrease
(long term) rabbits decrease --> foxes decrease
