Here's how I was taught to do this:

[tex] \frac{6meters}{1}| \frac{100centimeters}{1meter} \\ \frac{6*100centimeters}{1} \\ 600 centimeters[/tex]

The answer is 600 cm.

600 because there are 100 centimeters in 1 meter so if you add 100 6 times then your answer will be 600.
