A rocket is 1 mile above the earth after 0.5 minutes and 5 miles above the earth in 2.5 minutes. What is the rockets rate of change in miles per minutes ?

Lets find the rate of change. 

1/0.5 = 2
5/2.5 = 2

Therefore, we know that the rocket travels at a speed of 2 miles per minute.
