a) b is the mean of the confidence interval being studied.
b) t* is the critical t-score (from t-tables) defined by the degrees of freedom and the significance level of the confidence interval.
c) SE-b is the standard error of the confidence interval, determined based on the variation from the mean, as well as the sample size.
