Monty bought a lamp at a discount of 15%. The original price of the lamp was $75. How much did he save on the lamp?

In order to solve you would cross multiply 75/1 x 15/100
Simply that to 3/1 x 15/4
That is equal to 60/4
Then you simply divide 60 by 4
Leaving you with an answer of 15

Monty saved $15 on the lamp
